Challenges and How to Face It with Solutions

  1. Student cries suddenly due to high sensitivity and is a slow learner

Solution:

Use a personal and empathetic approach. Facilitate open two-way communication to understand the root of the behavior. After the incident, reflect together with the student, involve parents, and conduct home visits to follow up and ensure consistent support.

  1. Student repeatedly reports sickness in the morning (boarding school)

Solution:

Coordinate with the school clinic, school counselor (SC), and the student’s parents to rule out medical issues and build a support system. Conduct regular one-on-one sessions to understand emotional triggers and apply a balanced system of rewards and consequences to promote responsibility.

  1. Student refuses to join school events and is disengaged from learning

Solution:

Have active and empathetic one-on-one conversations to understand the student’s perspective. Set clear boundaries and explain consequences to help rebuild commitment. Inform parents about the situation and involve professionals (such as psychologists or counselors) if necessary to guide the student through adjustment challenges.

  1. Student secretly hides gadgets/laptops in the dorm

Solution:

Approach the situation with a non-judgmental conversation to uncover underlying needs. Offer gradual and structured solutions that include positive reinforcement. Establish clear communication routines and create healthy technology usage rules with student involvement.
